The 9-year-old designer made a symbol of a new holiday (+ video)
In the West it is accepted to celebrate Thanksgiving Day. This day members of the family gather to thank God and own relatives for that burning wellbeing which they have. Thanksgiving Day coincides with the Jewish holiday the Hanukkah. In соц two holidays "crossed" media and gave the new name Thanksgivukkah.
Who could think, what a symbol of this old, but a new holiday will develop the 9-year-old boy? The holiday symbol from small designer Asher Vayntrauba looks as a turkey candlestick at the tail-end of whom candles are inserted. This figure is called Menurkey, it is symbolical, after all unites in itself a turkey (the Thanksgiving Day symbol) and a menorah (the Hanukkah symbol).
Asher was impressed with that two holidays coincide on dates and show approximately a related essence – gratitude, gratitude. It inspired him on creation of the synthesized sign by means of Tinkercad software. The Makerbot Studios company undertook listing of the first model. Smith participated in development of model Horses – the artist-keramist developed models from plasticine to visualize an image.
On Kickstarter – a platform for startups – fund raising campaign was organized. On an embodiment of the project 48000 dollars were collected. The total of the people who have supported the project, made 820. Menurkey will create from plaster and from ceramics. Those who supported the project, had the right to receive the figure with the autograph of the designer.
Menurkey became not simply a holiday symbol, and absolutely functional household goods – the lamp. On a site it is still possible to get a figure though campaign for fund raising already came to an end.
