Additive creation and industrial equipment
Additive creation (AP) is capable to accelerate ordinary production of tools by means of their conformal cooling. AP technology application in production of separate tools allows to reduce essentially cost and time of production of tools. It also can promote increase of productivity of tools, also increase of the characteristic and marriage reduction.
One more advantage of AP is possibility essentially to reduce weight of details, at all this without having affected functionality. Directly in research of it and were engaged in Wipro that allowed to achieve huge results. For example, we suggest to consider an exhaust nozzle (see a photo on the right, further a photo 1). Walls of a delivery nozzle are quite often projected strong and reliable to provide a krepkost, because this 1st exhaust opening for burning gas or water. Liquid should proceed through huge distance enough to be cooled and safely to be liberated in environment. The exhaust pipe of the car or industrial plant can be an ordinary example of it.
Internal researches and tests in Wipro were carried out to behold on purpose how it is possible to change a design of an exhaust nozzle that cooling occurred quickly and perfectly, at all this, without influencing functionality of a detail. Very printsipno, that people had good zaniye in applied sciences before they will start a redesign of industrial details. In particular, if this component is used in dangerous areas and can harm life and human health.
On a photo 1 the ordinary detail which can be made traditional methods is shown. The thickness of walls of a nozzle makes 8 mm. The detail has the small inlet valve and a bolshushchy exhaust nozzle for pressure decrease. Later the nozzle will direct gas movement on a little meter pipeline, thus, it will be cooled before passing to atmosphere.
On a photo 2 the altered nozzle (at the left) is presented, is direct for AP. The density of walls all as makes 8 mm, and the design remains the same. But 8 mm are made of 2 mm of a firm material + 4 mm of a grid + 2 mm of a firm material. Directly so, 4 mm of a trellised material are clamped between 2 layers of a firm material.
These pluses essentially advanced our researches. The weight of a detail decreased by 45 %, but it did not reduce suitable durability of industrial level. Moreover, the built-in trellised structure led to decrease in temperature of exhaust gas term of useful service of exhaust pipes, thus, raised. It were internal experiences. But the same can be applied to fastenings and fittings which are exposed to bolshushchy temperature fluctuations during production. Very often these components break, because become fragile under the influence of huge changes of temperature. This effect can be lowered, if the cooling system is built in these components – as similar trellised structure.
These initial experiences show that change of a design industrial can lead a component to revolution and completely change a design of tools in manufacturing industry. As it was mentioned earlier, AP cannot call more suitable technologies for mass production worldwide – but she presumes to create things more perfectly, rather than traditional methods.
