3D printing electric bike (+ video)
One Italian manufacturing company uses technologies 3D of the press to create art, satellites and electric baizes. In Modena, in the homeland of the Italian plain of cursors, the 1st Italian electric bike of Energica Ego with the help технологиb F1 was created.
With introduction of technology of selective laser agglomeration and Windform from a material on the basis of the polyamide condensed with carbon fibers, CRP Group can create flowing round forms, headlights and bike details, not including mechanical and electric a component. The Windform line is steady against water, oils and various external factors. Thanks to it there is a possibility to create high-functional and beautiful details which can be used in the various purposes.
The laser selectively плавит a powder material, scanning the sections generated from the description of digital 3D to model of a detail, over a surface covered with a layer of a powder. After scanning of each cross-section section the layer of a powder falls by codified size of the 1st layer, later the new layer of a material from above is put. This process repeats until the detail will not be fully complete. 3D printing models and functional details cover with a layer threw later and paint.
Energica Ego became the first Italian electric bike made as ordinary endotermichesky bikes. It can gather speed to 240 km/h and go with speed of 150 km/h. On additional charge of accumulators less than 3 hours leave. Energica Ego is equipped with innovative system KERS which allows to restore useful energy, as F1 car. Within this project, unique in own way, some patents are written down.
Energica Ego will enter the market in 2015, it will create from Abs on ordinary technologies. 3D printing details are made of Windform, and such as a fairing will be made on the technologies suitable for mass production. All steel details (for example, a frame of the motor, a fork and the accumulator) will be made of cast aluminum.
And eventually, CRP Group also will issue on the market the Energica Ego version without a fairing. This model will be made by means of technology 3D of the press and the materials Windform. This model still is in a development stage, the design, aerodynamics and other properties is checked, but shortly it debuts in the market.
